As President of the Polished Pearls Foundation, I am proud that the Theta Tau Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc.  has established a philanthropic arm to allow us to effect a more significant impact in the community.  For 49 years, we have served the greater Fairfield community with honor and distinction.  Through the Polished Peals Foundation, we hope to utilize the many avenues available for funding and partnerships to expand our reach and capabilities.

Our focus will remain strengthening and supporting the community by, among other things, offering programs to enrich the lives of women and girls of all ages through our ASCEND program and the Girls Global Leadership Program, providing scholarships and book grants to children from Fairfield county pursuing higher education, healthy financial planning workshops, provision of seasonal wraps, and food drives.

We are charging forward, with renewed purpose, to positively impact the Greater Bridgeport community and beyond. We are thankful and grateful for your continued support and allowing us the opportunity to serve.

Sincerely,

Yasmin A. Blackburn, Esq
